I still wonder if this is a problem with the Mouse and Keyboard Center software. I mean if the numpad works as macro pad with application specific profiles that are generated a long time ago and the num pad doesn't work with newly generated application specific profiles, the first guess is that there must be a problem with the software that generates these profiles, which is the Mouse and Keyboard Center.

I don't know where these profiles are stored, in the registry or some ini file or wherever. But I would guess that the old profiles have a setting to enable the numpad as macro pad and the new profiles have the opposite, although I configured at least one key from the num pad with a certain key combination, like Ctrl A or whatsoever.
