I had the same problem. Downloaded drivers from realtek website But I did get it working for me. If this helps I'll tell you what I did. I'm sure you've been here a few times already.

You'll probably see 2 or three options. For me I saw High Definition etc Realtek etc version x. That's not the exact naming obviously. Don't choose the ones you would assume that say realtek. Choose the generic High Definition Audio. Let it install those drivers. That worked for me. Now my device list in Device manager shows 2 High Definition Audio devices and neither have the words realtek in them but it works perfectly so I'm happy. I have a Realtek High Definition system which didn't work properly after upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7. I had tried all the other suggestions including upgrading the sound software, checking the bit rate, uninstall - find drivers, rebooting, you name it. What kind of computer do you have make and model and what is the hardware ID of your audio device?
